The Competition
On the men's side, the meet will feature the host Buckeyes, ranked No. 25, as well as, No. 22 Kentucky, Iowa, Pitt, Utah, Yale and NCAA Division III power No. 2 Kenyon. The same schools will also have women's teams, and No. 1 Stanford and Washington State will also join. No. 22 Ohio State and No. 23 Kentucky enter as additional top-25 teams, while the Kenyon women are also ranked No. 2 in Division III.

The Nittany Lions
For some of Penn State's top swimmers, it will be their third consecutive week of competition.

For the men, Shane Ryan competed in last week's USA College Challenge when the Big Ten united to take on the USA Swimming National Team in a dual meet. Ryan impressed, swimming the fastest 100 backstroke in the NCAA this season at 45.75. Ryan also owns the second-fastest 100 free (43.09) in the NCAA and ranks 17th in the 50 free (22.09). Matt Stasiunas has led the distance effort, ranking in the Top 50 nationally in the 500 free with a season-best time of 4:29.35, while the trio of Hector Garcia, Connor Scanlon and Jack Crow lead a formidable diving effort.

The Penn State women are receiving votes for the Top 25 led by a trio of Top 20 NCAA swimmers. Casey Francis leads ranking ninth in the 500 free after posting a swim of 4:44.01 in the USA College Challenge. Katelyn Sowinski also posted a season-best in the 200 butterfly at the same event, touching in 1:57.83. Sowinski also ranks 34th in the 500 free at 4:51.36. Sophomore Ally McHugh is another ranked in the Top 20, as her season best of 4:15.54 in the 400 IM ranks 16th nationally. She also trails Sowinski in the 500 free, ranking 35th in 4:51.36. Senior Katie Saloky has also had a strong season, ranking 28th in the 50 free so far with a best of 22.90.

Next Up
