WINTHROP, Mass. - Freshman Daniela Paniccia (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) has been named the College Hockey America (CHA) Goalie of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. This is the third CHA Goalie of the Week plaudit for Paniccia.
Last Friday, Paniccia recorded a career-best 47-save performance in a 2-1 loss against the No. 8 Quinnipiac Bobcats. Paniccia tallied a game-high 19 saves during the third period of play. Her save percentage of .928 on the year is tops among CHA netminders and ranks 10th in the nation.
The Nittany Lions return home to the Pegula Ice Arena to close out their non-conference slate against Ohio State, Jan. 6-7. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. and 2 p.m.
