UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State will conclude its home dual meet slate Saturday, welcoming Navy to McCoy Natatorium with the first race set to start at noon.

It will be both Military Appreciation Day and Senior Day. Penn State seniors will be honored prior to the meet at 11:40 a.m. The first break will feature a Penn State Ability Athletics exhibition race, while the second will feature the second annual Great Penn State Duck Toss, in which fans will have the opportunity to throw rubber ducks into the pool at hula hoop targets with prizes awarded based on which hoop they reach. The grand prize is a brand new television.

Congrats Seniors!
Men's seniors Bob Bantley, Mike Kwasnik, Shane Ryan, Matt Stasiunas and Andrew Schueler, and women's seniors Mackenzie Cornell, Casey Francis, Mackenzie Hornibrook, Bridget Moody, Katie Saloky, Katelyn Sowinski and Megan Wujciak will be honored before the meet begins at noon.

The Series
In the all-time series against Navy, the Nittany Lion men hold a record of 3-3 after Navy prevailed in last year's meeting in Annapolis. However, Penn State was victorious in the last meet in McCoy Natatorium in 2015. The two teams first competed back in 1944 and have met in the last six consecutive seasons. The Penn State women last faced Navy in 2015, also for Senior Day, as last year's meet was canceled due to weather. They are 5-0 all-time dating back to 1998 and will be meeting the Mids for the fifth time in the last six years.

The Nittany Lions
The men's team enters the Navy meet after a victory over Yale last weekend. Shane Ryan and Kaelan Freund were named the Big Ten Men's Swimmer and Freshman of the Week, respectively, while Hector Garcia Boissier enjoyed a record performance in the 3-meter dive.

The women's team went 1-1 last weekend, defeating Rutgers but coming up short against Yale. Ally McHugh and Casey Francis shined in the distance freestyles, while Katelyn Sowinski, Katie Saloky, Emily Harris and Tommie Dillione were all event winners, as well.

The Opponents
Both the Navy men and women boast 7-1 records, with both suffering their first losses of the season in their most recent outing against North Carolina.

Next Up
Penn State will host the Penn State Zone A Diving Invitational Saturday and Sunday, Jan 28-29. The entire team will be back in action the following week at Villanova, Feb. 3.
