WTEN Shut Out By No. 4 Ohio State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 19, 2017--The No. 4 Ohio State women's tennis (9-1) team shutout Penn State (3-4), 7-0, in Penn State's first away contest of the season. This was Penn State's first Big Ten matchup of the season.

"Credit to Ohio State, they are a very good team and played well today, "said head coach Chris Cagle. "We will take some things from today and get ready for the upcoming matches next weekend."

The Buckeyes took an early 1-0 lead after collecting the doubles point from wins on courts one and two. Out of the six singles mataches, four of Ohio States players hold a ranking within the top 100.

Looking ahead, Penn State travels to Huntington, WV, this Fri., Feb. 24 to take on Marshall at 5:00p.m. They battle it out between Columbia on Sat., Feb. 25 at 1:00p.m.
