April 24, 2017 - UNIVERISTY PARK, Pa.; The Penn State men's tennis team concluded their regular season slate yesterday on the road at Northwestern University in Illinois. The Wildcats overcame the Nittany Lions today to win this Big Ten conference match.
The doubles point was won by Northwestern in two matches. On court one, No. 68 team Konrad Zieba and Sam Shropshire took down our No. 58 team Constant De La Bassetiere (Reims, France) and Christian Lakoseljac (King City, Ontario, Canada) 7-5. On court two, Christian Lutschaunig (Richboro, Pa.) and Nika Dolidze (Tbilisi, Georgia) were overtaken by No. 70 pair Dominik Stary and Strong Kirchheimer, 6-4. Court three went unfinished.
The Wildcats also took singles wins on five courts, with one match going unfinished.
This conference match wraps up regular season for Penn State, who will next head to the Big Ten Championships. The championship tournament will begin on April 27 in West Lafayette, Ind.
