ROSEMONT, Ill. - Following the opening weekend of the 2017 outdoor season for Penn State's Isaiah Harris, the sophomore has been named the Big Ten Men's Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Isaiah Harris made his 2017 outdoor debut with a spectacular performance at the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. this past weekend.
Harris opened up in his signature event - 800-meters - posting the No. 1 time in NCAA that also holds as the No. 2 time in the world for all of 2017 including both indoor and outdoor seasons. Harris returned the following day to help lead his 4x800-meter relay to the No. 10 time in program history with their second-place finish in a time of 7:18.70.
