All-Sports Museum's Ellen Perry Speaker Series: Coach Johanna Hall

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 12 p.m., Assistant Fencing Coach Johanna Hall will give a gallery talk with a discussion in the Penn State All-Sports Museum's fencing gallery.

Johanna (Picard) Hall is in her fourth season as assistant coach with the men's and women's fencing team. A native of France, Hall received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State. She fenced foil for the Nittany Lions from 1984 to 1988 and was team captain her junior and senior years. While on the team, she compiled a 160-37 record, finishing her career with an 81% winning percentage. Her senior year, she placed 4th at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals and 19th at the NCAA Championships. In addition to coaching, Hall assists Head Coach Glon with the administrative duties of the team and focuses her efforts on compliance, recruiting, alumni relations and community outreach.

Gallery talks are held in the Penn State All-Sports Museum, which is located on the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium opposite the Bryce Jordan Center. A long canopy leading from Curtin Road marks the Museum entrance. There is a small kiosk lot across the street from the museum for visitor parking, as well as in Lot 44 for those with an appropriate pass. All gallery talks are live-streamed on the PSASM's Facebook page for those unable to attend. This event is free and open to the community.

The Penn State All-Sports Museum will host monthly gallery talks with a wide variety of coaches, alumni, and scholars throughout 2017. The gallery talks are casual, and no registration is required. Below is a list of upcoming gallery talks. Dates are subject to change.
