Trio from WGOLF Named All-American Scholars

July 14, 2017

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - A trio of sophomores on the Penn State women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) earlier this month.

Classmates Jackie Rogowicz (Yardley, Pa.), Cara Basso (Downingtown, Pa.) and Lauren Waller (Canonsburg, Pa.) each received this prestigious honor.

To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team one must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, this is one of the most stringent criteria in all of college athletics.

Earlier this week the women's golf team was also recognized as having the highest spring semester GPA out of all of Penn State's 31 teams.
