Dickson Leads at U.S. Open Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - Robbie Dickson led Penn State swimmers on the first day of the U.S. Open Championships, swimming a nationals cut and personal best of time in the 1500-meter freestyle Wednesday in the Nassau County Aquatic Center.

Dickson placed 24th in 15:44.30 for the top Nittany Lion placing.

Also competing was Matt Dinunzio in the 200m butterfly, who placed 40th in 2:05.64.

The U.S. Open Championships continue through Saturday, while the U.S. Futures Championships begin Thursday in Athens, Ohio.
