MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A pair of Penn State women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, as announced by the United Soccer Coaches (formerly the NSCAA) and the Missouri Athletic Club on Tuesday. Senior Frannie Crouse (Greensburg, Pa.) and redshirt junior Emily Ogle (Strongsville, Ohio) are among the 30 student-athletes on the Women's MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.

The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year. This year's winners will be announced Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.

Heading into her senior season this fall, Crouse has played in 72 matches, which includes 67 starts. Donning the Blue & White, Crouse has netted 78 points on 33 goals and 12 assists. Last fall, she led the Nittany Lions and the Big Ten in goals with 12. In the Penn State record books, she ranks 15th in points (78), and 12th in goals scored with 33, which includes 12 game-winning goals.

Crouse's honors as a Nittany Lion include: Women's College Cup All-Tournament Team (2015), All-Big Ten First Team (2016), All-Big Ten Second Team (2014), Big Ten All-Tournament Team (2015), and NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team (2016).

After redshirting last season to play for the United States U-20 Women's National Team at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, Ogle returns to the Nittany Lions as a redshirt junior for the 2017 season.

The 2014 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, Ogle has started all 51 matches during her first two seasons as a Nittany Lion. During Penn State's NCAA Title run in 2015, Ogle started all 27 matches, netted 19 points on seven goals and five assists. For her efforts in 2015, she was named to the Women's College Cup All-Tournament Team, NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team, and the All-Big Ten Second Team.
