UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Head Coach Missy Doherty and the Penn State women's lacrosse team announced their fall schedule earlier this week. The schedule is highlighted by two tournaments, 10 total contests against top tier competition and an alumni game.
Coming off their second straight Final Four appearance last season, the Nittany Lions will battle seven opponents who made the 2017 NCAA Tournament including NCAA National Semifinalist Navy and quarterfinalists North Carolina and Stony Brook.
Penn State opens the fall with a Tuesday evening contest against Bucknell on September 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Penn State Lacrosse Field.
PSU continues the fall slate on Saturday, October 7 as they host its own home tournament and will battle Stony Brook (10 a.m.), Syracuse (12:20 p.m.) and Cornell (3 p.m.). Games for this tournament, which also features Lehigh, will take place at the Penn State Lacrosse Field and Little Jeffrey located next to Jeffrey Field. A full schedule for the day can be viewed HERE!The Nittany Lions then battle perennial power North Carolina on Saturday October 14 in Brooklandville, Md. At 2 p.m. before heading to the Navy Tournament the following day to take on Syracuse (9 a.m.), Louisville (11 a.m.), Navy (1 p.m.) and James Madison (2 p.m.).
Penn State concludes its fall season back home on October 28 with an Alumni game at 12 p.m. and a game against Niagara following at 2 p.m.
