FNC: Penn State heads to Temple for fencing open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Eighteen Penn State fencers will travel to Philadelphia this weekend for the Temple Open. The tournament will start Saturday, Oct. 28 and finish on Sunday, Oct. 29.

The Temple Open starts at 8:30 a.m. both days. The event will take place in Temple's Liacouras Center.

Members of the Penn State men's fencing team competing this weekend are: Maksymilian Mateja (Arlington Heights, Ill.), Inti Farfan-Bayerl (Morrison, Colo.), Chase Pflueger (Highlands Ranch, Colo.), Andrey Ostatnigrosh (Fresno, Calif.), Shane Iverson (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Tomas Koeck (Fairfield, Conn.), Clinton Rodell (Annandale,Va.), Joshua Cole (Chappaqua, N.Y.), and Stefan Nico Popovici (Katy, Texas).

Members of the Penn State women's fencing team competing this weekend are: Alissa Gozali (Singapore, Singapore), Isabella Zuzulo (Newtown, Pa.), Sofia McGoff-Medero (Gurabo, Puetro Rico), Anastasia Kalonji (Rennes, France), Yumin Wang (Monmouth Junction, N.J.), Nicolette Vigna (Thornwood, N.Y.), DeAna Oliver (Montclair, N.J.), and Sara Cunningham (Decatur, Ga.), Kelli Wozniak (Westerville, Ohio).
