FNC: Nittany Lions finish season strong

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ââ'¬" The Nittany Lions closed out the regular season today with a dual meet series at Temple. Coach Wes Glon's full team competed against St. Johns, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins. Additionally, the men fenced Stevens Institute of Technology, and the women fenced Temple.

The men's team won three of four duals. The Nittany Lions beat Stevens Institute of Technology, 21-6; St. Johns, 18-9; and Johns Hopkins, 23-4. Their only loss on the day was against Princeton, 13-14.

Leading the men's team was Jarrett Lewis (Montclair, N.J.) and Anton Piskovatskov (Houston, Texas). Lewis finished 6-0 in saber and Piskovatskov finished 8-2 in epee.

The women's team won three of four duals. The Nittany Lions beat Princeton, 16-11; St. Johns, 19-8; and Johns Hopkins, 20-7. Their only loss on the day was against Temple, 12-15

Leading the women was Najiyyah Clark (Maplewood, N.J.) and Nicolette Vigna (Thornwood, N.Y). Clark finished 5-0 in foil and Vigna finished 8-4 in epee.
