Ohio State -- Postgame Quotes
February 14, 2018

Coquese Washington | Head Coach

Q: What would you contribute your shooting woes to today?
CW: I think Ohio State did a pretty good job of trying to contest shots and I though they did a pretty good job trying to close up driving lanes on us. Also, Ohio State made us work defensively. I thought we had some opportunities early in the first quarter that we didn't take advantage of. If we can take a little better advantage of those opportunities we could've gotten off to a better start. I think that would have helped.

Q: What does the Pink Zone initiative mean to you, playing in front of all the survivors and for your program to be a part of that?
A: It's really a special moment and it's truly a special experience. I am really pleased with what we do on this day to honor survivors, honor the families that are supporting their loved ones that are going through this and making this day a day they can remember outside of what happens on the court from a basketball standpoint. Just knowing that there is a community of people who care and there's a community of people who are working to help make survivors lives better, to make their treatment better and working to find a cure. There's a community of people who care and find their battle important and worth working for. That's what the day means to us.

Jaida Travascio-Green | Guard | Sophomore

Q. What are the challenge of going up against someone like Kelsey Mitchell?
JT: She's just a really great all-around player. She can do it all, she's faster than any player I have ever played against, so it's a team effort to guard her. Even if the person guarding her does a really good job and she gets past them, then another person has to come over and help. It's just really hard because she is so good all-around and she's a really great player.

Q: Your shots seem to be falling today. Was that something where you hit a couple earlier and your teammates found you, or was there something else?
JT: I think [my teammates found me] and this is just a big game, so there was a lot of adrenaline. It was one of those games and my teammates definitely found me when I was open and I'm glad I was able to hit the shots.

Q: Playing in front of a pretty big crowd today, Pink Zone game for a great cause, what was the feeling and atmosphere like?
JT: It was really cool to be in this type of atmosphere. Last season, I didn't get to play in the Pink Zone game, so this was my first experience. My family is here, my friends are here, and there are a tons of survivors here. Playing for everyone outside of ourselves was really something great to be a part of.
