Basso is joined by individuals Erin Harper (Indiana University), Elsa Moberly (Eastern Kentucky University), Pun Chanachai (New Mexico State University), Pinyada Kuvanun (University of Toledo) and Connie Jaffrey (Kansas State University). Only 132 participants, comprised of six teams and three individuals, will advance from each regional to the championships on May 18-23.

This is the first time a Nittany Lion has made an appearance in an NCAA regional since senior Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) and junior Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) competed in the East Regional in 2014.

"Prepping for regionals this week has been really exciting. I am honored to have the opportunity to represent my team further into the season," Basso commented, "I have been talking to the coaches all week about the course and what to expect, so I feel like I'm prepared for some of the situations and shots I will face."
