TEMPE, Ariz. - Penn State rising senior Robbie Dickson added a 15th-place finish at the USA Swimming Open Water National Championships, competing in the 5K Sunday in Tempe Town Lake.
Dickson, a team captain for Penn State, completed the 5K in 55 minutes, 6.1 seconds, ranking as the 10th quickest American. He also placed 17th in the men's 10K Friday in 1:49:53.691 seconds, ranking him 12th among Americans.
Dickson was competing for a place on the U.S. roster for the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo and the 2018-19 Open Water National Team. Selections for those teams will be announced on June 2, 2018.
