- With 107 rushing yards, McSorley posted his second career 100-yard rushing game and upped his career total to 1,453 rushing yards.
- His performance against the Hoosiers moved him into 29th place in program history. He passed Stephfon Green (1,351; 2008-11), Steve Geise (1,362; 1975-77) and Tom Donchaz (1,422; 1971-74) with the effort.
- McSorley extended his school record with his 26th career 200-yard passing game.
- With a pair of rushing touchdowns, McSorley now has 26 career rushing scores to move into a tie for ninth place on Penn State's career list with Larry Johnson (1999-2002) and Matt Suhey (1976-79).

- TE Pat Freiermuth had his third career touchdown reception and third in his last four games in the second quarter on a 23-yard pass from Tommy Stevens.

PJ Mustipher

- Scott recovered a fumble on a punt in the fourth quarter, his second career fumble recovery. His first was against Indiana in 2017.
Shaka Toney
- DE Shaka Toney recorded 4.0 sacks, all coming in the fourth quarter, doubling his previous career high of 2.0 against Northwestern in 2017.
- Toney's 4.0 sacks tie the program's single-game record, equaling the mark held by three others – Terry Killens vs. Indiana, 1995; Jimmy Kennedy at Wisconsin, 2002; Tamba Hali vs. Wisconsin, 2005.
- Toney also doubled his career-high in tackles for losses with 4.0. Toney had 2.0 tackles for loss in three previous outings with the last coming at Pittsburgh earlier this season.
- He registered six tackles, bettering his previous career high of five at Pittsburgh.

Jake Pinegar

Johnathan Thomas
- KR Johnathan Thomas had a career-long 94-yard kickoff return in the third quarter. His previous long was 20 yards against Illinois earlier this season.
- Thomas' return is longest for the Nittany Lions since Saquon Barkley's 98-yard return against the Hoosiers in 2017.
