- Penn State fended off Colgate to improve to a 4-1 record at home and 5-0 record when leading with 5:00 left to play this season. The Nittany Lions lead for 38:34 against Colgate.
- Penn State's defense held Colgate to just 30 first-half points, tied for the lowest first-half points scored by Colgate this season.
- The Nittany Lions shot 38% from 3-point range against a Colgate team that, entering this game, was holding its opponents to just 28.6% shooting from beyond the arc. PSU improves to 5-0 on the season when shooting over 40% from the floor.
- Penn State set a team season-high for most 3-point field goals in a game with 10. The Nittany Lions youth contributed in a big way, time making 9 of the 10 Penn State three pointers.
- PSU dominated the glass, out-rebounding Colgate 43 to 24. PSU is now 4-2 when grabbing more rebounds than its opponents. Mike Watkins had the same amount of rebounds, eight, as Colgate in the first half.
- The Nittany Lions allowed a season-low eight free throw attempts to Colgate. The previous low was 13 FTA against Virginia Tech.

- Freshman Rasir Bolton set a career high in points scored, 27, and 3-pointers made, seven. Bolton broke his previous career high of four made 3pt field goals with 8:47 left in the first half. He is the 15th Nittany Lion to make seven 3's or more in a game, the last to do so was Billy Oliver against Purdue in 2012.
- With his three steals, Josh Reaves is now tied with Tim Frazier with 196 career steals, good for fourth most in Penn State History. Reaves added nine points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and three steals.
- Mike Watkins recorded his 21st career double-double, his first of the season in his first start of the season, with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 2 blocks.
- Lamar Stevens recorded his sixth career double-double, his fourth of the season. This is the first time that two Nittany Lions recorded double-doubles in the same game since Josh Reaves and Mike Watkins accomplished it on December 22, 2017 against Rider.
