UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - A total of 35 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 22 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions are perennially a top-20 program in producing players in the NFL. The regular season concluded with Saquon Barkley making his final case for Rookie of the Year, once again etching his name in the record books by breaking the NFL rookie receptions record for a running back and surpassing 2,000 yards from scrimmage for the year to become just the third rookie in NFL history to do so. Second-year receiver Chris Godwin also concluded his season on a high note, totaling two touchdowns and more than 100 yards receiving.
Six Penn Staters on active rosters will advance to the playoffs: Adrian Amos and Allen Robinson II (Bears), Jordan Lucas (Chiefs), Sean Lee (Cowboys), Stefen Wisniewski (Eagles) and Chris Hogan (Patriots).
Marcus Allen (2014-17) S, Pittsburgh Steelers

Allen played in his second career game and recorded his first career solo tackle on his lone defensive snap. He also saw action on special teams.
Adrian Amos (2011-14) FS, Chicago Bears

Amos made five tackles and broke up a fourth-down pass in the fourth quarter for the playoff-bound Bears.

Saquon Barkley (2015-17) RB, New York Giants

Barkley rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries and caught four passes for 33 yards, tying the NFL rookie record for 100-plus scrimmage-yard games with 13 and becoming just the third rookie to surpass 2,000 scrimmage yards for the season, joining Eric Dickerson and Edgerrin James. Barkley also totaled 91 receptions for the season, setting an NFL rookie running back record. He led the NFL with 2,028 scrimmage yards and was second with 1,307 rushing yards.

Godwin made his fifth start of the season. He and teammate Mike Evans became the first pair to tally 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the same game in franchise history. Godwin finished with a season-high 114 yards on six catches with touchdowns of 30 and 19 yards.
