OPENING TIPS
- Fresh off their first Big Ten win of the season, the Lady Lions head to New Jersey to face a red-hot Rutgers team Sunday afternoon.
- Penn State is 1-2 in Big Ten play. The Lady Lions picked up a key 71-64 victory over Wisconsin Thursday night after a pair of tough losses to #4/4 Maryland and RV/RV Indiana.
- Four Lady Lions are averaging double-digit points, led by Teniya Page's 20.6 ppg. Page's 20.6 ppg ranks second amongst all Big Ten players.
IF PENN STATE BEATS RUTGERS
- The Lady Lions would earn their first road win at Rutgers since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten and first since a 53-43 win on Nov. 19, 1997.
- The Lady Lions would snap Rutgers' current five-game win streak.
- Penn State would improve to 9-6 on the season and 2-2 in Big Ten play.
SCOUTING RUTGERS
- Rutgers enters Sunday's game on a five-game win streak as the Scarlet Knights are 10-3 on the season and 2-0 in Big Ten play.
- Rutgers most recently played Friday night as the Scarlet Knights took down non-conference foe Brown, 73-52.
- The Scarlet Knights' two Big Ten wins came at home over Northwestern (45-41, Dec. 28) and on the road at #4/4 Maryland (73-65, Dec. 31), as Rutgers handed the Terrapins their first loss of the season.
- Rutgers boasts the conference's best scoring defense, allowing just 51.5 points per game.
- The Scarlet Knights have a balanced offensive attack, with seven players averaging six or more points per game.

AGAINST THE SCARLET KNIGHTS
- Rutgers leads the all-time series that dates back to 1977, 25-19. Penn State is 1-5 against the Scarlet Knights since Rutgers joined the Big Ten.
- That win came in the most recent meeting on Jan. 18, 2018 at the Bryce Jordan Center when Penn State took down the #25/21-ranked Scarlet Knights in the final seconds.
- Rutgers led 67-66 with 3.8 seconds remaining before Teniya Page drew a foul and the Scarlet Knights were also assessed a techinical foul. Page made 4-of-5 attempts from the charity stripe to give PSU the 70-67 win.
- Page led the Lady Lions with 34 points, while Jaida Travascio-Green added 15.
B1G WIN TO OPEN NEW YEAR
- The Lady Lions kicked off the 2019 calendar year with a 71-64 win over Wisconsin. Penn State held a two-point lead heading into the fourth quarter before holding the Badgers to a 26.7 percent (4-for-15) clip from the field in the final term. Penn State went 13-for-18 (72.2 percent) from the charity stripe, including 10-for-10 in the final 1:21, to seal the win.
- The win helped Penn State bounce back from a pair of losses to #4/4 Maryland (77-61, Dec. 28) and #RV/RV Indiana (83-75, Dec. 31) in the first two conference games of the season.
- Senior Teniya Page led the Lady Lions with 23 points against the Badgers, marking her third-straight and eighth overall 20-plus point effort. Senior Amari Carter chipped in 13 points, while sophomore Kamaria McDaniel added 11. Junior Siyeh Frazier registered her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-best 11 rebounds.
