Baseball’s Sunday Game Moved Up to 11 a.m.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The scheduled first-pitch time for Penn State baseball's Sunday game against Rutgers at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park has been moved two hours earlier to 11 a.m. due to the threat of inclement weather.

Penn State won the series opener Saturday, 5-4, on a walk-off sacrifice fly by first baseman Parker Hendershot (Barton, N.Y.) The game started Sunday evening but was suspended after two innings due to thunderstorms.

It resumed Saturday just before noon and the remaining nine innings were completed. Penn State and Rutgers started their second game of the series at 3:27 p.m.

With Commencement ceremonies and student move out this weekend, Penn State baseball fans are advised to be prepared for heavier traffic throughout the weekend.

Fans should refer to the updated timeline of baseball and softball games and graduation ceremonies scheduled in adjacent facilities (below). Fans coming to baseball games this weekend are encouraged to allow extra traveling time.

General fan parking for baseball for all three games this weekend is in the Porter North parking lot.  Fans are advised to approach this lot from the north from Park Avenue or Fox Hollow Road and to be prepared for heavy traffic before and after the commencement ceremonies occurring in the Bryce Jordan Center and Pegula Ice Arena.
