University Park, Pa. – Penn State men's tennis will travel to Charlottesville, Va. to compete in the UVA Blue and Orange Classic from Sept. 27-29 at the Snyder Tennis Center.
The Nittany Lions will take all the entire eight-man roster to compete as individuals against players from UVA, Old Dominion and Columbia. There will be 32 players attending in total for doubles and singles competition.
"We're taking the entire team which I really like because it creates a good team bonding experience and gives us a simulation of what the spring will be like," head coach Jeff Zinn said. "It gives the new players the chance to get some experience before they have to do the real thing in the spring. I'm looking for the players that played last weekend to expand on what they were doing and have better results this weekend."
Next up, select members of the team will travel to Tulsa, Okla. to compete in ITA All-Americans, Oct. 10-13.
