UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's hockey head coach Jeff Kampersal has announced the hiring of Krista Patronick as the program's director of hockey operations prior to the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Her responsibilities at Penn State will include leading video operations for the team and coordinating team travel logistics, as well as handling other day-to-day operations for the program.
"Krista is smart, very motivated, and personable," said head coach Jeff Kampersal. "We are eager for her to join the team."
Patronick brings a wealth of experience to Hockey Valley. She has been a director of hockey operations for the past two seasons with stints at Dartmouth in 2018-19 and Colgate in 2017-18.
Prior to her time in the collegiate ranks, Patronick was general manager of the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League from 2015-17. Her duties included hiring coaches and game-day staff as well as management of volunteers, plus leading recruiting efforts of players. She also coordinated team scheduling and led marketing efforts for the Blades.
Patronick is a 2009 graduate of UMass Lowell and added a graduate degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire in 2013.
