Fencing heads to Philly for Temple Open

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Eighteen members of the Penn State Fencing team will travel to Philadelphia this weekend for the Temple Open. The event will begin on Saturday, Nov. 2 and will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 3. Start time for both days is scheduled for 8:30 am in the Liacouras Center.
 
The nine members of the Penn State women's fencing team competing this weekend are Nirali Igoe(Washington, D.C.), Axelle Wasiak (Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium), Evelyn Pham (Houston, Texas), Sara Cunningham (Decatur, Ga.), Pauline Conscience (Paris, France), Sofia McGoff-Medero (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Lodovica Bicego (Vicenza, Italy), Jade Rowland (Princeton Junction, N.J.), and Isabella Zuzulo (Newtown, PA).
 
The nine members of the Penn State men's fencing team competing this weekend are Elias Cole(Chappaqua, N.Y.), Tylen Butler (Charlotte, N.C.), Demetri Zacharakis (Houston, Texas), Felipe Rosario (Maplewood, N.J.), Max Lewicki (Hillsborough, N.J) , Nicholas Prince (New York, N.Y.), Ethan Mullennix (San Francisco, Calif.), Michal Wisniowski (Clark, N.J.), and Chase Pflueger(Highlands Ranch, Colo.).
 
The Nittany Lions will be in action again next weekend as select fencers will travel to Milwaukee, Wi. for a four-day long NAC event Friday, Nov. 8th – Monday Nov. 11th.
