vs. Wake Forest – December 4, 2019

Q: MJ, on a night where maybe you had it going and a couple other 3-point scorers who usually contribute in that area didn't, how important did you feel it was on yourself to kind of contribute to that scoring and get yourself going from the outside?
A: I always think me contributing is always important, but I think I've got to get them the ball and try and get them going too which, that's the point for our side. I've got to do it.
Q: MJ, obviously Lamar is known as the leader and the main offensive guy on this team, but you're someone who leads the team in minutes and when he's off the floor, you're the go-to-guy on offense, so how does the game change when Lamar heads to the bench, like late in the first half today?
A: When he's in the game, he's the first priority, but when he's not in the game, it's not like I'm the first priority. It's just the flow of the game and that's just how it goes, but when he's in the game, he's always the first priority.
Q: Pat mentioned at the end of the first half when Lamar went to the bench with two fouls and Mike was in and out, and you guys were on an 11-1 run to boost your lead going into halftime, what kind of spark did that give you guys going into the break and then coming out and keeping that 20-point lead for the rest of the game?
A: We have so much depth which is great. Everybody comes in and they contribute. They know their role and they play as hard as they can. We know, when Mike or Lamar are not in the game, we know what we need to do and at halftime, it was the same mindset: keep doing what we've been doing, don't let up on it.
