LAST TIME OUT

Penn State hosted Cleveland State in their home opener on Thursday, January 30 at the Indoor Tennis Center.

After dropping a closely contested doubles point, the Nittany Lions trailed the Vikings 3-0. In true comeback fashion, the Blue and White then won four singles matches to win the match, 4-3.

Alp Sentay clinched the victory for the team with a win on court six, defeating Jack Santili, 6-2, 6-2.

SENIOR SUCCESS

The senior duo of Christian Lakoseljac and Christos Antonopoulos jumped up four spots in ITA doubles rankings to No. 29.

The pair has yet to be defeated, with an overall record of 3-0 this spring.

In their last outing, the tandem defeated Vikings' pair Nico Mostardi and Luke Phillips, 6-4 at the top lineup spot.

LOOKING INTO THE BULLS

Buffalo is coming into Happy Valley hot off a 7-0 victory over St. Bonaventure last weekend. Previously, the Bulls were defeated by Princeton and Brown.

The team will face Niagra at home in Williamsville, N.Y. the day before traveling to take on the Nittany Lions.

Penn State owns a perfect 4-0 all-time record against the Bulls. The Blue and White won 6-1 when the two programs met last season.

"Buffalo is always a tough opponent," Zinn said. "They are always the team to beat in the MAC Conference and we always look forward to a competitive match with them.  I'm sure it will be much of the same and we need to come prepared for a battle."

INSIDE THE MOUNT

Mount St. Mary will be in the hunt for their first win of the spring season against the Nittany Lions. The Mount previously lost to both Navy and Duquesne.

This will mark the first meeting between the two programs.

NEXT UP

The Nittany Lions will continue their string of eight home matches with another doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 16 against the Dukes at 11 a.m. and Saint Francis at 3 p.m.
