Q&A with Kyle Virbitsky

Kyle Virbitsky is a returning senior right-handed pitcher on the Penn State baseball team. Learn more about who inspired him to pursue baseball and what he is like off the field. His has been awarded the William and Donna Nelson Endowed Athletic Scholarship and Paul M. Ashburn Baseball Scholarship.

If you could play any position different from your own, what would it be? 
I would play tight end on the football team. 
 
What/Who inspired you to pursue baseball? 
My dad sparked my interest in baseball always taking me to the field as a kid to hit and throw. From there, I never looked back and fell in love with the game. 
 
What's your go-to karaoke song?
Mr. Brightside by The Killers.
 
What TV show could you watch over and over again and never get sick of?
The Office.
  
What is your favorite class you've taken at Penn State so far? 
Kines 77 (Yoga) or Earth 101 (Natural Disasters: Hollywood vs. Reality).
 
What's your favorite thing about Penn State? 
The Penn State Pride especially during football season. I would love to find a way to carry that to the spring while were playing. 
 
What would you do if you won the lottery? 
Buy more Bitcoin.
 
What instantly puts you in a good mood? 
Sushi and Ralph Gambino.
 
What music are you listening to right now?
