Penn State Fencing Announces Regular Season Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's and women's fencing teams, under the direction of head coach Wes Glon, has two dual tournaments set for this semester as they prepare for possible post-season competition.  The season begins next week when the Nittany Lions travel to Columbus, Ohio, on February 6-7 for the Ohio State Multi-team Tournament.
 
Penn State will dual Ohio State, Northwestern, Duke, North Carolina and Notre Dame in Columbus. The last time Penn State competed against Ohio State was at the Duke Invitational on January 18, 2020. The men pulled out a close win, beating the Buckeyes, 14-13 with key performances from Sebastiano Bicego (Vicenza, Italy) and Nicholas Prince (Brooklyn, N.Y.). The women fell to the Buckeye's, 9-18.
 
The Nittany Lions will then travel to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Temple Multi-Team Invitational on February 21 where they will compete against Temple, Duke, St. John's and NJIT.

The 2021 NCAA Fencing Championships could run Thursday through Sunday, March 25-28.  Penn State would serve as the host site for the NCAA Championships.  The status, date and sites of both post-season events will be finalized soon.
