Women’s Lacrosse Contests Against Michigan, Johns Hopkins Selected For ESPNU Broadcast

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 21/16 Penn State Women's Lacrosse team's games against No. 9 Michigan and Johns Hopkins will be televised on ESPNU, announced by ESPN on Friday.
 
Penn State's March 21st contest against Michigan will appear on ESPNU at 10 a.m. It will be the second game of PSU's series against the Wolverines, played at Panzer Stadium. The Wolverines are ranked No. 9 in both the IWLCA Poll and Inside Lacrosse Poll. The Wolverines make their season debut this Sunday against Ohio State.
 
The Nittany Lions will again be featured on ESPNU for their matchup at Johns Hopkins on Wednesday, April 7. The contest is set for a 4 p.m. first draw. The Blue Jays are receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Poll after going 4-3 in 2020.
 
The Nittany Lions, led by Head Coach Missy Doherty, take on No. 7/8 Maryland on Sunday at Panzer Stadium. The 1 p.m. contest will be live streamed on Big Ten Network+.
 
Penn State is currently ranked 21st in the IWLCA Poll and 16th in the Inside Lacrosse Poll.
 
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 20-11 season-opening win over Rutgers. Freshman Kristin O'Neill led PSU with four goals and two assists, leading all Division I freshmen with six points in week one. She was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week. Senior Maria Auth added four goals and one assist, while Kara Nealon had two goals and two assists. Goalie Taylor Suplee was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after making 12 saves.
 
Under current Big Ten guidelines, public tickets will not be sold for 2021 Penn State Women's Lacrosse home games.
