Swimming & Diving Complete Day One Against Michigan State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Swimming & Diving concluded their first day of competition against Michigan State Friday evening at McCoy Natatorium. The swimmers will resume tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. for the women's meet followed by the men at 2:30 p.m. Both Senior Day contests will be streamed live on BTN+. 
 
Top Swims
The men earned a 1-2-3 sweep in the only race of the day, the 1000 free. Leading the group with a win was freshman Henry Radzikowski whose time of 9:20.41 was just one second over his personal-best. Following closely behind him was sophomore Sam Rennard who earned second (9:25.14) and freshman Zach Brewer who swam for third (9:25.32). 
 
The women also swept the 1000 free, with junior Madison Murtaugh coming in first for the Nittany Lions with a time of 10:02.24. In second was senior Camryn Barry (10:06.51) and freshman Annie Walls in third (10.11:80).
 
Top Dives
Senior Bryce Hoch concluded his final meet at McCoy Natatorium with an NCAA Zones qualifying score and a win in the 3-meter (333.38). 
 
Sophomore Kevin Sullivan had an impressive day on the boards, securing a win in the 1-meter (297.00) and earning second in the 3-meter with an NCAA Zones qualifying score of 324.00. 
 
Sophomore Wei Wei impressed with an NCAA Zone C cut score in the 3-meter (289.65) and tied for second with senior Kamryn Umbel in the 1-meter (260.18).
 
Junior Jonah Cey had a second-place finish in the 1-meter 295.95. 
 
Next Up
Both the men's and women's team will honor their seniors tomorrow at their Senior Meet against Michigan State. The women are slated to begin competition at 10 a.m., followed by the men at 2:30 p.m.
