No. 7/7 Women's Hockey Starts CHA Tournament Friday Afternoon

ERIE, Pennsylvania – The No. 7/7 Penn State women's hockey team begins its 2021 postseason with its semifinal matchup Friday afternoon at 2 p.m at Erie Insurance Arena.

PLAYER, ROOKIE, GOALIE AND COACH OF THE YEAR
Kiara Zanon double up winning the CHA Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year and Josie Bothun was named CHA Goaltender of the Year as announced by the CHA Wednesday night.
 
In addition, Jeff Kampersal was named CHA Coach of the Year.
 
LUCKY NUMBER 7
Seven Nittany Lion student-athletes won All-CHA honors for their great regular seasons. Jessica Adolfsson, Josie Bothun, Natalie Heising and Kiara Zanon were named All-CHA first team performers. Izzy Heminger was a All-CHA second team selection and Bothun and Zanon joined Lyndie Lobdell and Olivia Wallin on the All-CHA rookie team.
 
REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS LOOKING FOR MORE
The Nittany Lions clinched the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye to automatically reach its fourth CHA semifinals when they won the CHA regular season championship. Penn State is searching for its first CHA Championship game appearance and first CHA Tournament title.
