Women’s Lacrosse Scheduled For Three National Broadcasts

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State Women's Lacrosse team will be featured on three national TV broadcasts, announced by the Big Ten on Tuesday.  The Nittany Lions will have one contest each against Johns Hopkins, Michigan and Ohio State on national broadcasts.
 
Penn State's matchup against Michigan on Sunday, March 21 will be broadcast on ESPNU at 10 a.m. The Wolverines are currently ranked 15th in the IWLCA Poll and receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse Poll.
 
The Nittany Lions will be on Big Ten Network for their game at Ohio State on Friday, March 26 for a noon first draw. The Buckeyes are receiving votes in the IWLCA Poll.
 
Penn State will also be on ESPNU on Wednesday, April 7 when it travels to Johns Hopkins for a 4 p.m. contest. The Blue Jays are receiving votes in both national polls.
 
The Big Ten Tournament, hosted by Penn State at Panzer Stadium, will have all six games broadcast on Big Ten Network.
 
The Nittany Lions, led by Head Coach Missy Doherty, are 2-0 this season with wins over Rutgers (20-11) and No. 7 Maryland (15-13). Penn State is ranked No. 7 in the IWLCA Poll and No. 5 in the Inside Lacrosse Poll.
 
Penn State is set for a two-game battle at No. 3 Northwestern this week. The first game of the series will be played on Thursday, March 11 at 4 p.m. ET and the second game will be played on Saturday, March 13 at 3 p.m. ET.
 
Northwestern is off to a 3-0 start, coming off a series sweep against Johns Hopkins on February 26 and 28.
 
The matchup against Northwestern features two of the top offenses in the country. Penn State ranks fourth in the nation, averaging 17.5 goals per game, while Northwestern leads the nation averaging 19 goals per contest.
