Penn State All-Sports Museum to Reopen July 6

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State All-Sports Museum will reopen its doors on July 6 following an extended closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"After a long 15 months, we are thrilled to be able to welcome the public back to the All-Sports Museum and to continue our mission of sharing and preserving Penn State's athletic past," said Ken Hickman, the museum's director. "We'd like to thank those who have helped us reach this point, as well as those who have helped promote the Museum and its mission during the closure."

The Museum will be open to the public six days per week, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Those interested in scheduling guided tours or stadium tours should contact the Museum office at 814-865-0044.

Programming and special events will be returning throughout the summer. Visitors should follow the Museum's social media channels for more information. You can follow them on Twitter at @PSUSportsMuseum.

The Penn State All-Sports Museum will feature Unbeaten & Uncrowned: 11 Teams 100 Years as its special exhibition upon its reopening. In the years after Penn State's inaugural 2-0 season in 1887, the Nittany Lions fielded 11 football teams that went undefeated and were not recognized at the time as national champions.  While many played before systems were in place to honor them and others received recognition years after, some were simply passed over.  While a few of these oversights were understandable, others still cause controversy and continue to fire the passions of fans and alumni. Unbeaten & Uncrowned examines these teams and highlights both their seasons and the remarkable players who led them to greatness.

Opened in 2002, the Penn State All-Sports Museum is located at the southwest corner of Beaver Stadium and honors the achievements of the men and women who have built the proud tradition of Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics.  The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Sunday 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.  Admission is by suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children, seniors, and students.
