Penn State Athletics to Host Football Game Day Hiring Fair

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is hosting a football game day hiring fair Tuesday, August 10 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Pegula Ice Arena. Those interested in being part of Happy Valley Hospitality and helping create memorable experiences for fans as a part-time staff member at home Penn State football games are welcome to attend.
 
Candidates can register in advance for the event by sending your name, email and phone number to FBGameDayStaff@psu.edu. Walk-ins are also welcome on Tuesday, August 10. Qualified candidates will be hired immediately.
 
The ideal candidate is someone who will deliver exceptional customer service and will provide a safe and welcoming experience for all guests to Beaver Stadium. Candidates will also be asked to collaborate with teammates to proactively create memorable moments for an above and beyond game day experience.
 
Game day staff roles include:

  • Usher: Responsible for the seating and safety of all patrons, ushers are expected to politely direct or escort patrons to their seats and be available to answer any questions they may have.
  • Guest Services: Guest services staff will greet and assist all fans and have an in-depth knowledge of Beaver Stadium to own and address any questions or issues that may arise.
  • Ticket Assistants: Provide answers to questions and resolve issues with mobile tickets upon arrival at Beaver Stadium.
  • Security: Responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of Beaver Stadium policies and procedures to execute safe and efficient gate entry and crowd management.
  • Parking Attendant: Responsible for directing guests to specific parking locations, validating parking passes and controlling traffic at entrances and exits as needed.

 
Hours for these game day roles will vary and can include early mornings, late evenings and weekends. Most positions require being on your feet for 4-6 hours at a time.
 
Candidates are required to be at least 18 years of age and are subject to completing background checks and onboarding training.
