Women's Soccer Adds Asbroek to Roster

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State head coach Erica Dambach has announced the addition of Maud Asbroek to the 2021 roster.

"After playing for four years at PEC Zwolle and graduating with a bachelor degree in Business from the University of Twente in The Netherlands, I was up for a new challenge. I want to keep improving myself in soccer and also academically. I have dreamed about playing in college in the U.S. for years, and felt this was the right moment for me. When Penn State came into the picture, I almost directly knew it was the right fit for me. The history and quality of the program makes me feel very honored and happy to become a part of this team."

"We are extremely excited to have Maud as a part of this year's team. She will add invaluable depth to our roster and bring great playing experience. We expect her to come in and make an immediate impact. We are thrilled to have her as a member of our program!" Dambach added.

Asbroek was rostered with U-16, 17, 19 and 23 Neatherlands national teams. Asbroek won the FC Twente women u-21 - Champions of Hoofdklasse vrouwen FC Twente, a women u-16 SV championship, two Enter – u-12 championships and one regional cup and a u-14 championship. She also served as co-captain of her teams the last two seasons.
