UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team kicks off the 2021-22 season this weekend as the Nittany Lions head to their first of five fall tournaments at the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate Sunday and Monday in Verona, N.Y.
 
Both Sunday and Monday's action will tee off with shotgun starts at 8 a.m. on Turning Stone Resort's par-72, 6,803-yard Kaluhyat Course.
 
Lou Olsakovsky, who returns in 2021-22 to utilize extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA due to the Covid-19 pandemic and a regular starter for the last two seasons, begins his final campaign in the lineup this weekend. Juniors Patrick Sheehan and Ben Smith will both be in the starting lineup, as will freshmen Jake Griffin and Morgan Lofland who will make their collegiate debut with Penn State. Junior Jimmy Meyers will also be playing as an individual.  
 
The tournament field includes host Missouri, Binghamton, Boston College, Canisius, Cleveland St., Delaware, Duke, LSU, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Penn State, Sacred Heart, St. Francis, Towson, Youngstown St.
