Women's Hockey Battles Holy Cross In Weekend Series

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's hockey team welcomes Holy Cross to Pegula Ice Arena for the first time in a nonconference series this Friday and Saturday, October 8-9, to conclude its six-game homestand to begin the regular season.

PARKING
All Penn State Athletics non-football events will require a valid permit or payment of the applicable parking fee for campus lots. Complimentary parking will no longer be issued for season ticket holders.
 
Fans with valid Penn State University Park parking permits will be permitted to park at non-football athletics events for free, following Transportation Services parking policies and access.
 
Fans without a permit are encouraged to prepay for event parking at a discounted rate through ParkMobile - https://psu.parkmobile.io/. Prepayment is available through 11:59 p.m. the day prior to each event. Season packages will be available for general parking for most sports, and information on VIP parking options available for select events will be released later.

THE MATCHUP
Penn State and Holy Cross match up for the second time in this week's series after kicking off the 2019-20 regular season facing each other at Holy Cross Sept. 27-28, 2019. Both games ended in ties (3-3 and 1-1).
 
This series marks the first time the Nittany Lions will host the Crusaders at Pegula Ice Arena.

BY THE NUMBERS
1: Penn State senior forward Natalie Heising is just one point away from becoming the third Nittany Lion to reach 100-career points, joining Laura Bowman and Amy Petersen. With 99 career points, she is six points shy of breaking Bowman's 104-point record.
 
5: The Nittany Lions had two more CHA player of the week honorees after week two, bringing their season total to five already. Josie Bothun was Goaltender of the Week (her second this season) and Mallory Uihlein was Defender of the Week.
 
7: Penn State has allowed just seven goals through four games this season, with sophomore goaltender Josie Bothun sporting a 1.73 GAA during that span.
