Nittany Lion Fencing Teams Return Home to Host Garret Open

University Park, Pa. – The Penn State Nittany Lion fencers will compete at home for the first time this season hosting the Garret Open at the Multi-Sport Building indoor track. The two-day event will begin at 8 a.m. each day with women competing Saturday and men competing Sunday. 

Fencing for the women this weekend will be:

Epee - Cat Cao. (Centereach, N.Y.), Kateryna Chorniy (Kyiv, Ukraine), Sabine Desamours (Warrenton, Va.), Julia Duffy (Stony Brook, N.Y.), Sophie Goldberg. (Newtown, Pa.), Nirali Igoe (Washington, D.C.), Jaclyn Khrol (Brooklym, N.Y.), Jordan Liverant. (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Helen Myers (Victorsville, Calif.), Evelyn Pham (Houston, Texas), and Axelle Wasiak (Vlaams-Brabant, Belgium).

Foil - Samantha Catantan (Quezon City, Philippines), Claire Haas (Port Matilda, Pa.), Sofia McGoff-Medero (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Ari Proietti (Como, Italy), Ariel Rastep (San Francisco, Calif.), Anusha Vohra (Milpitas, Calif.), and Mikaela Yhip (Chico, Calif.).

Saber – Pauline Conscience (Paris, France), Xime Iriarte-Estrada (Huixquilucan, Mexico), and Steph Jen (Taichung, Taiwan).
