Penn State Men’s Swimming and Diving places fourth overall in day one of NC State Invitational.

Raleigh, NC--The Penn State Men's Swimming and Diving team completed day one of three at the North Carolina State Invitational. The preliminaries began at 9:30am and the finals were performed at 5:30pm. The team is currently placed fourth overall in the invitational meet with a score of 303.50. 
 
Preliminaries:
In the first day of preliminaries, the Nittany Lions sent eight swimmers to the finals. 
500 Free-Eduardo Moraes 
200 Yard IM-Michael Daly
50 Yard Free-Victor Baganha, Jake Houck, Will Roberson, Zane Sutton, Tommy Hurley, and Daniel Raisanen.
 
Finals:
In the 200 Yard Freestyle race, Penn State placed third with contributors Houck, Roberson, Baganha, and Sutton. In the 50 Yard Yard Freestyle, Baganha and Houck both placed in the top eight for the heat. Lastly, in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, Penn State finished in first place with a time of 3:14.48. The team included Lachlan Byrne, Hurley, Houck, and Sutton. 

Diving:
Jonah Cey finished 7th in the finals. 
 
What is next:
The Nittany Lions will compete tomorrow morning beginning at 9:30am for the preliminaries and again for the finals at 5:30pm.
