LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Penn State cross country program got its season off to a good start Friday evening at the Dolan Duals hosted by Lock Haven at West Branch Cross Country Course.
The Nittany Lions had strong season-opening performances in both the women's 4k race and the men's 6k run.
"This was a solid start to the season for Penn State Cross Country," said head coach John Gondak. "Both teams followed the race plan and achieved the results we wanted. Most everyone ran their personal best on this course tonight which means they put in work over the summer. Thank you to Lock Haven for the hosting us and we look forward to hosting next weekend!"
In the opening race, Faith DeMars crossed the finish line first with a 4k time of 13:54.9.
Madaline Ullom and Sophia Toti shortly followed at 14:02.8 and 14:03.7.
