Postgame Press Conference: Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day and Players

Ryan Day | Head Coach

Q: Can you put this game into a nutshell and talk about the win?
A: It was crazy. We expected playing this game here to be like that. We knew that it was going to come down to the fourth quarter. There's a lot of things we wish we did better in the first half. It doesn't come easy. With that being said, I am very proud of this team, especially in the fourth quarter. CJ stroud was unbelievable in the fourth quarter.

Q: What are your thoughts on J.T. Tuimoloau's performance today?
A: He's an unbelievable player, but he's a better person. You can see his talent. He's been working really hard. Nobody wants it more than he does. In this stage the way he played means a lot to him.

Q: You talk to your team a lot about toughness and how did that play a factor in today's win?
A: It is everything. It is the difference between winning a championship, reaching our goals or not. We responded and I think that is why it is so satisfying. We clean things up because that's football. A lot of respect for Penn State, for James Franklin and his staff. This is a hard place to play. It always is. For us to do that got our locker room fired up.

C.J. Stroud | QB | 3rd Year

Q: How do you think about your team's overall toughness and how did that help you win today?
A: We are a tough team. We are not really trying to prove nothing to nobody out there. We are trying to prove to ourselves the type of team we are, and I think we did that today. We knew it was going to be a fourth quarter game, so we weren't surprised.

Q: How would you describe the fourth quarter?
A: Buckeye football. We knew that it gets tough in the fourth quarter. I think we are a fourth quarter type of team. We work for that in the offseason,

J.T. Tuimoloau | DE | 2nd Year

Q: It has been a long time since you guys have been pushed like that. What was it like to have a game come down to the last few plays?
A: It was great. On the sideline we never broke. We always stay strong and always loved the challenge. After they scored there was no break. We were telling each other about the stuff we got to fix.

Q: How does this win feel and what is going through your mind right now?
A: It was a great win. This is not an easy place to come play. You guys heard the fans rocking but we played great defense and came through with the win.
