BACK AT HOME
- Mercyhurst will be the first CHA opponent that the Nittany Lions will be facing at Pegula Ice Arena this season.
HISTORY
- Penn State is 10-23-9 against the Lakers all-time while the Nittany Lions have taken three of the last four matchups with the last win coming on January 29, 2022.
STRONG OFFENSES
- Both teams enter Friday's series with the two highest goal numbers in the CHA. The Nittany Lions currently rank seventh in the nation with 38 goals scored while Mercyhurst ranks 20th with 23.
HOLY WIN STREAK
- The Nittany Lions has won four straight games heading into Friday's series. The team swept both Franklin Pierce and conference rival Lindenwood.
- Penn State has won five of its last six games including a victory over 15th ranked Boston College team.

- Freshman Tessa Janecke tapped in her second CHA Rookie of the Week honor this season on a 6-point (4G, 2A) week.
- She also captured her first CHA Rookie of the Month Award on Tuesday as she tallied 14 points with 9 goals and 5 assists.
- The rookie currently ranks first in the CHA for goals, points, power play goals, shorthanded goals, and face-off winning percentage.

- During the Nittany Lions 4-1 win over Franklin Pierce, the Nittany Lions registered 61 shots on goal.
