UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A total of 44 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 24 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions annually rank among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL.
Saquon Barkley set a new single-season rushing yardage career high on Sunday as the Giants dismantled the Colts, and now sits at 1,312 yards on the season. Chris Godwin hauled in nine passes for a season-high 120 yards as the Buccaneers passing attack overwhelmed the Panthers secondary to earn the victory. On special teams, Blake Gillikin had a fantastic day as the Saints took down the Eagles, as the second-year punter pinned Philadelphia's offense inside the 20-yard line a career-best five times in the game.
