NCAA Swim & Dive Championships Opener on the 1-meter dive

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –  Penn State diver Daphne Wils finished in 24th place (259.50 points) in the 1-Meter preliminaries of the NCAA Women's Championships Thursday afternoon at Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

Wils took off in the first round beginning with a 403b, an inward 1 ½ somersault pike which started her off with 43.20 points and a 15th place finish in the opening round. In the fourth round, she scored best with a 303b, a reverse 1 ½ somersault pike, for 46.80 points and finishing just behind at 18th place.
