UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's golf team returns to action Monday and Tuesday in the Colleton River Collegiate at the Colleton River Club's Nicklaus Course in Bluffton, S.C. The 54-hole tournament will be the first of three events the Nittany Lions will compete in over the next eight days.
The event, hosted by Michigan State, also features Cincinnati, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas State, Memphis, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio State and Rutgers with 36 holes being played Monday and the final 18 set for Tuesday.
The Nittany Lions will be represented by Patrick Sheehan, Jake Griffin, James Allen, Jimmy Meyers and Billy Pabst Jr., while Jack Zubkus will be playing as an individual.
Penn State returns to action after a two-week layoff. The Nittany Lions were last in action at the Florida Gators Invitational on Feb. 11-12. Penn State finished tied for sixth in the team race while Patrick Sheehan and Jake Griffin both finished tied for 14th.
Penn State is playing in the Colleton River Collegiate for the second-straight year. The Nittany Lions finished 12th of 15 in last year's event.
