Kutztown over Penn State, 31-18

In an exciting and fiercely contested rugby match, Kutztown emerged victorious against Penn State with a final score of 31-18.

The first half of the match hotly contested with Kutztown just ahead, 12-6 at the break. Penn State's Stephen Hoey showcased his precision by successfully converting two long range penalties, keeping Penn State in the game. Penn State had multiple opportunities but fell just short allowing Kutztown to maintain the lead in the first half.

Kutztown continued to build on their first-half momentum, scoring three more tries to extend their lead. Again, Penn State had multiple attacking opportunities that they just were not able to capitalize on. Dan Morariu got on the board again this weekend on the back of a break from Cole Stoeppelwerth. Some great handling helped Dan to the corner to close the gap. The forwards followed up with a strong maul try.

However, Kutztown's consistent pressure proved to be the difference-maker. Their three second half tries sealed the win for the home team, 31-18.

Penn State will regroup this week as they face Navy, Saturday, 4 November at 11am on West Campus Field in the team's final home match of the Fall Season.
