No. 19 Men’s Soccer Hosts Indiana in B1G Match at Jeffrey Field

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – No. 19 Penn State men's soccer welcomes long-time rival Indiana to Jeffrey Field on Saturday, Oct. 7. The Nittany Lions look to remain unbeaten in Big Ten Play in Saturday's noon match up on the Big Ten Network.
 
In only the third meeting between Penn State in Indiana with the Nittany Lions ranked higher, the teams face off on the national stage. The contest supplements an important weekend for Penn State who hosts alumni including the 2002 Big Ten Championship Team. The squad will also honor THON prior to the game with SAAC hosting a tailgate on the field's outside the stadium from 11-12 to benefit the fight against childhood cancer.

Parking Information
Parking for all Penn State Athletics' non-football events will require a valid permit or payment of the applicable parking fee for campus lots. Fans with valid Penn State University Park parking permits will be permitted to park at non-football athletics events for free, following Transportation Services parking policies and access.
Spectators can park in Stadium West parking lot for Penn State men's soccer games. Visitors can prepay for parking at a rate of $5.50/game through ParkMobile. The day-of-event rate will be $10/game. Prepayment is required by 11:59pm the night before the event to receive a discounted rate ($5.50/game).

LAST TIME OUT

  • Penn State earned a 0-0 draw at no. 13 Michigan State in a tough environment on the road. 
  • The Nittany Lions held the Spartans to no shots on goal throughout the entire game and outshot them 12-6.

  • Indiana is coming off a gut wrenching ending to its 2022 season, losing in the National Championship game to Syracuse in PKs. 
  • The Hoosies are off to a tough start with a 3-3-4 overall, 0-1-2 Big Ten record so far this season. They tied their most recent match up with Kentucky 1-1 on Tuesday.
  • Indiana is in search of its first conference victory on Saturday.
