UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State women's gymnastics team (5-1, 1-1 Big Ten) hosts No. 16 Minnesota (6-0, 2-0 Big Ten) on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. in Rec Hall.

The Nittany Lions will face off against their third Big Ten opponent of the season. Penn State defeated Rutgers last week with an overall score of 196.075. Ava Piedrahita totaled a 39.450 in the all-around while Maddie Johnston competed in her first all-around of the season, earning a 39.250. Johnston's 9.9 score on the balance beam helped the Nittany Lions to secure the event win and defeat the Scarlet Knights in the fourth and final rotation. Isabella Salcedo scored a 9.85 or higher in each of her three events, providing consistency as Penn State earned its first Big Ten road win of the season.

The Golden Gophers will arrive at Rec Hall ranked No. 16 in the country. The team is ranked inside the top 20 in every event, including 16th-ranked beam and floor squads.
