Women’s Gymnastics Travels to No. 15 Ohio State Friday

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State women's gymnastics team (5-2, 1-2 Big Ten) travels to Ohio State (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) to compete in a 6:30 p.m. meet against the No. 15 Buckeyes in the Covelli Center.

The Nittany Lions performed well against No. 16 Minnesota on Saturday afternoon in Rec Hall. Despite falling to the Golden Gophers, Penn State's overall score of 197.025 tied for the sixth-highest score in school history. It was also the ninth time in school history that the team posted a 197-or-better in a meet. Teammates Amani Herring (9.95) and Isabella Salcedo (9.95) became the first Penn State teammates to each score 9.95-or-better on floor in the same meet since 2001, helping the Nittany Lions to a 49.400 team total on the apparatus, their best this season.

Ohio State stands No. 15 in the country after winning against Maryland on Sunday. Penn State is 34-27-1 all-time against the Buckeyes since the teams first met in 1965.
