UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Penn State swimming and diving will have five current or former athletes competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The five athletes will be showcased in four different events and will represent four different countries. The group of swimmers are highlighted by current student-athletes Jack Harvey and Eduardo Cisternas. Emma Harvey, Shane Ryan and Gabe Castano, all Penn State alumni will also compete.
Jack Harvey is a rising senior and will be swimming in the 100 back for Bermuda and Eduardo Cisternas is a rising junior and will be competing in the 400 free for Chile. Emma Harvey, 2024 graduate, will also be representing Bermuda in the 100 back. Gabe Castano, a 2021 graduate, will swim in the 50 free for team Mexico. Shane Ryan, 2017 Penn State alumni, will swim as a leg in the 400 medley relay for Ireland.
